Bonaire - the tiny Dutch island in the Caribbean
« on: January 20, 2008, 11:34:42 PM »

An option to consider, when planning a holiday to the Caribbean is the tiny unspoiled Dutch island of Bonaire, which is just over 100km from Venezuela.

The island is hugely devoted to snorkelling and diving - there are 300 species of fish in the surrounding waters.

Top five places to visit:

1. Washington Slagbaai National Park
2. Rincon - the vilage has same of the oldest buildings on the island - a trip into the past
3. Kralendijk - Bonaire's tiny capital
4. Seru Largu - a 45 minute hike to the top of Seru Largu, offering stunning views of Lac Bay, Klein Bonaire and the south coast
5. Lac Bay - a place where the locals hang out on a Sunday and listen to great local music.
